FORT ERIE, Ont. – The Canada Border Services Agency have released a statement saying during the month of August, agents have seized multiple firearms, drugs and child pornography from people attempting to enter Ontario.
At the Ambassador Bridge, agents said they found a loaded firearm, magazines and ammunition in the rear compartment of a motorcycle. A baton was also found hidden in the undercarriage.

"These seizures clearly demonstrate that our border services officers are committed to border protection and tackling crime," said Rick Comerford, Regional Director General, Southern Ontario Region.
A man attempting to crossover into Canada told border officers that he took a wrong turn and came to Canada by mistake. A search of the man's car revealed two laptop computer containing child pornography.
Blue Water Bridge officials said they found an illegal substance known as Catha Edulis located in the cab of a truck belonging to four Illinois residents. Catha Edulis is a plant native to Africa known to cause feelings of euphoria and is illegal under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
"Border services officers in the Southern Ontario Region have prevented weapons, drugs and child pornography from reaching the streets of our communities with these seizures and continue to make every effort to keep Canadians safe," said Comerford.
The CBSA said a women from Indiana was discovered with a loaded firearm. A man from London was also found in possession of 3,000 pills of Salbutamol during a search.
