University of Michigan campus police say suspicious man reported watching children on North Campus

Police say resident noticed man watching children while they played

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan Department of Public Safety says a suspicious man has been reported lurking around children on North Campus.

In a statement about an incident that happened Sunday, campus police said a resident in the 1500 block of McIntyre Road saw a man acting strange around a group of children who were outside playing – he appeared to be watching them as they ran around the lawn.

Police said the resident confronted the man and he left.

The description of the suspicious man released by police is: A white man in his 40s, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 250 pounds with a large belly, bald head with some brown hair on the sides, a mustache and blue eyes. He was wearing a white long sleeve T-shirt and gray sweatpants.
