The employee described the man as black, approximately 40 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 220 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, blue sweat pants and a black knit hat.

Officials said the same man, wearing the same clothes, waited in line at a Dollar General at 245 Summit Drive at 11:05 a.m. Sunday. Once he got to the register and it was open, the man went around the corner, pressed a hard object into the employee's back and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash.

He then got away in the same type car.

Officials said they believe the same man was responsible for an armed robbery in Pontiac on Sunday.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken into custody by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact Waterford police at 248-618-7515.
