DETROIT – Olympia Entertainment and Detroit Red Wings have launched free public Wi-Fi at Joe Louis Arena for fans.
The high speed Wi-Fi system is said to enhance fan engagement, provide faster uploads to social media and allow fans easier access to Red Wings official app, when attending sporting and entertainment events at The Joe.

To access the Wi-Fi inside Joe Louis, guests will simply need to select "#JLAwifi" on their smartphones. An opt-in page will appear which requires the user to accept the "Terms and Conditions" while entering their name, e-mail address and ZIP code. Users will then be connected to the Wi-Fi and simultaneously directed to a portal page.
The Red Wings will officially present the new Wi-Fi system when the team returns home from a two-game road trip on Saturday, Jan. 31, to face the New York Islanders.
