Pedestrian in critical condition after hit-and-run accident outside of motel

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that left a 22-year-old Detroit woman with critical injuries Saturday morning in Farmington Hills.

The accident happened at about 5:20 a.m. in front of the Bahama Motel on Grand River Avenue.

The woman suffered critical injuries and was taken to Beaumont Hospital.

Police believe the vehicle that fled the scene is a newer model red or maroon Chrysler Town and Country that continued eastbound on Grand River Avenue. The vehicle does not have a metal registration plate and has a temporary registration in the back window.

The Farmington Hill Police Department is attempting to locate Terrel Dewhite Johnson, 24, of Romulus. He is described as black, 6 feet tall, weighs 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Johnson is known to frequent Southwest Detroit.
