Police believe man fatally stabbed girlfriend, baby daughter at Eastpointe home

Police say 30-year-old man turned himself in Friday at Dearborn Police Department

EASTPOINTE, Mich. – Exclusive video shows a 30-year-old man known as "CJ" turn himself in to police Friday morning at the Dearborn Police Department.

He is suspected of killing his 29-year-old girlfriend, Monique Rakowski, and their 13-month-old daughter, Carmon. They were found dead Thursday night by Rakowski's father in the bathroom of her Eastpointe home.

Rakowski's father says she was found with her sweatpants down and with baby Carmon placed on top of her with her pacifier still in her mouth.

"I took the pacifier out and I tried to blow some breath back into the baby but it was fruitless. I didn't want to disturb the murder scene," he said.

Monique's face was partially covered with a blanket.

"I pulled the blanket back and I could see somebody put coins on her eyes, I think they were dimes. I didn't look at it for very long. I covered her back up and I called 911," her father said.

There was a knife lying next to the bodies.

Monique's father said his daughter told her boyfriend last week to finally be involved in their daughter's life. When he arrived at the Dearborn Police Department Friday morning he had superficial cuts on him. Right now, police suspect he stabbed Monique to death, and did the same to the baby.

"I hope he burns in hell. I'll never get my daughter and my granddaughter back."

Police have gone to the Eastpointe home before for a dispute between the couple. Charges are expected soon.
