DETROIT – Police said they are investigating an early Saturday carjacking that left a 24-year-old man dead on Detroit’s west side.
Four people were carjacked around 2:30 a.m. while in a 2007 Chrysler Sebring.

After the carjacking, police said two brothers called their mother to explain what happened. Police officers went to the mother’s home on Rosemont Avenue.
On the way to the mothers house, police were flagged down because of a body found in the area of 18496 Glastonbury, one street over from the mothers house.
Detroit police say the victim was the missing brother, adding he was shot in the back.
Police are investigating reports of a newer model red van with chrome rims possibly seen in the area. They’re also still trying to determine where the victim was shot.
