Police investigating bank robbery in Farmington Hills

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Police are investigating an armed bank robbery Tuesday in Farmington Hills.

The robbery happened at the Bank of America at the corner of Middlebelt and 11 Mile roads at 10:50 a.m.

Update: Bank robbery suspect shot, killed by police in Detroit

A man approached a teller and passed a note implying he was armed, demanding money. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.

No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as white, in his 50s, between 5 feet 8 inches tall and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds and has short blonde hair and a short mustache. He was wearing a light-colored dress shirt, khaki colored shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the robber. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Farmington Hills Police Department.
