Police search for man who sexually assaulted woman in Southfield parking lot

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Wednesday in a parking lot in Southfield, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man.

According to police, the woman was walking at about 12:30 p.m. in a parking lot at 1 Towne Square when she was approached by a man. He asked her several questions, and as she walked away, he asked her if she “wanted to make some money.”

The man told her she was pretty, approached her from behind as she walked away, and reached up her dress and grabbed her buttocks, police said.

The woman ran to a nearby building and called 911.

The man was seen entering a four-door white Cadillac and fleeing east through the parking lot toward 2 Towne Square.

The man was described as black, in his 30s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build and has short hair. He was wearing glasses, a gray sweatshirt and blue pants.
