DETROIT - Detroit emergency manager Kevyn Orr released an order Tuesday providing non-union city employees, including mayoral appointees and elected officials, a 5% pay raise.
"The EM has determined that the implementation of wage increases for certain non-union employees is consistent with the City's financial and operating plan and will help ensure the efficient operation of the City's departments," said the official order signed by Orr on June 30.
Personal service contractors will not receive a pay hike.
The pay raise is effective beginning during the city's the first pay period following July 1, 2014.Detroit pay raises
