It is alleged that Boykins offered to give a woman a ride home on July 10 after breaking up a fight between the woman and her boyfriend. He was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix.

Instead of taking the woman home, the man took her to the Zoom gas station at Plymouth and Hubbell roads before driving to a vacant house on Foley Street and sexually assaulting her, according to Crime Stoppers.

Boykins was arrested Wednesday. Local 4’s Lauren Podell was at the gas station when a man matching the description and driving a silver Pontiac Grand Prix entered the gas station and questioned employees about why they released his picture to police. He turned himself in to police.

He is expected to be arraigned at 2:30 p.m. in the 36th District Court.
