DETROIT – There is now a $15,000 reward being offered to anyone who can help authorities find Wayne State University police officer Collin Rose's killer.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Detroit Field Division is increasing its reward from $5,000 to up to $10,000 for information, including recovery of the weapon, leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Wayne State University Sergeant Collin Rose.
Sergeant Collin Rose died Nov. 23 after suffering a gunshot wound to the head while conducting an investigation off campus the previous evening. Rose was 29 years old and served as a K-9 officer.
“The senseless death of Sergeant Rose has been deeply felt by not only those who knew him, but also by the community in which he took an oath to,” said Special Agent in Charge Robin Shoemaker. “ATF is committed in seeking justice for the fallen hero and we are asking for the public’s help to make that happen.”
In addition to the ATF reward, an anonymous donor with the Detroit Dog Rescue (DDR) is offering an additional $5,000 increasing the total potential reward to $15,000.
“Sergeant Rose was a beloved and respected member of the law enforcement community,” said Kristina Rinaldi, DDR executive director. “His killer must be found.”
