Letters from Lake Shore Public Schools and Lakeview Public Schools sent to parents Monday morning warn of the attempted abduction of a child near 10 Mile and Little Mack roads.

Here is the letter from the Lakeview Public Schools, which states the attempted abduction happened about 7 a.m. Monday near Cubberness and Statler:
LOCATION: In area if Cubberness & Statler
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Black Male in his 20’s; clean shaven wearing a Seahawks winter cap (silver and green) and black zip up jacket.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: Clean black Dodge Ram Quad cab with chrome step bars.
INCIDENT: A black male in his 20's, driving a clean black Dodge Ram Quad cab with chrome step bars, stopped and asked a high school student for directions in the area of Cubberness & Statler. The suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to pull her into his vehicle. The victim fought the suspect off and was let out of the vehicle. The student ran past him towards home. The man got back in the truck and took off. Good Morning Fellow Shorians,
Please be advised, we have received notice from the St. Clair Shores Police Department of an attempted abduction of a school aged child (not a Lake Shore Student) around the intersection of 10 Mile and Little Mack.
The person of interest was described as an African-American Male, in his 20's, wearing a black zip-up jacket and Seattle Seahawks knit hat, driving a black, Dodge Ram Quad Cab truck.
