The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Oakland County and central Wayne County in Southeast Michigan until 8:45 p.m.

At 7:46 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Detroit and moving south at 15 MPH. 60 MPH wind gusts and quarter-sized hail have been spotted.
The severe thunderstorm will be near southwest Detroit around 8:05 PM, Dearborn And Dearborn Heights Around 8:10 p.m., Melvindale And River Rouge around 8:15 p.m.
The Warning includes areas surrounding these locations: Detroit, Southfield, Royal Oak, and Dearborn.
For your protection, the National Weather Service advises moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of the building.
