Sheriff: Men filmed themselves beating disabled man in Pontiac

PONTIAC, Mich. – Two men were arrested Tuesday for attacking a disabled man in a Pontiac apartment building.

The men posted a video of themselves beating a man with cerebral palsy on Facebook, which helped police make an arrest.

The victim is at home and is now ok, but his neighbors are both angry for him and afraid for their own safety.

Police say Nikey Walker and Shadeed Bey stole a cell phone from the 23-year-old victim’s apartment Sunday morning. He chased them into the stairwell and that’s where they physically attacked him.

Walker and Bey shot the video with the victims own phone and then posted to both his Facebook page as well as their own.

“I’ve never seen nothing like that,” said Ashton Jefferson, who works at the Phoenix Place apartments. “I mean, especially a disabled person? Who would do that? That's a coward move right there."

Both Walker and Bey were arraigned Tuesday and remain in Oakland County Jail, unable to post $25,000 cash bonds.
