Video shows Roseville robber climbing on store counter before running from gunfire

Shots fired during armed robbery at Little Brown Jug in Roseville

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – Police are searching for two men who robbed the Little Brown Jug party store in the 26600 block of Gratiot Avenue in Roseville.

Two men walked into the store around 9 p.m. Wednesday while three employees were working, police said.

A man in a light-colored hooded sweatshirt jumped up on the counter and pointed a revolver at one of the employees, police said.

A friend of the store's owner was at the store visiting and fired one or two rounds from his handgun, officials said. He is a legal owner of the handgun and isn't facing any charges, police said.

You can watch surveillance footage of the incident in the video posted above. It shows the robber jumping on the counter, running out of the store and sprinting through the parking lot.

The two men fled the store through the parking lot toward Wildwood, just west of Gratiot Avenue. Police believe the men left a vehicle in the area.

While he was running through the parking lot, the man in the light-colored hooded sweatshirt dropped the revolver, police said.

A police K-9 unit were unable to find the men.

Nobody was injured during the robbery, police said.

It's unknown if the other man, who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, had a gun.

The men had their faces covered and were wearing gloves, police said.

Officials are continuing to investigate the incident.
