SOUTH ROCKWOOD VILLAGE, Mich. – A 2-year-old South Rockwood boy's death is being investigated as a homicide.
In a statement Tuesday, South Rockwood Police Chief Larry Chambers said the boy was taken from a home in the Village Place Apartments to Oakwood Southshore Hospital on April 30 for a medical emergency. The boy was then transferred to Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. He died May 1.
A Wayne County medical examiner ruled his death a homicide, but no other details about how the boy died were immediately released.
