HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – A Michigan State Police trooper and dispatch trainee were hurt in a crash on I-75 Thursday afternoon.
Lt. Mike Shaw said the two were in a cruiser that was parked on the side of the interstate near the Caniff Avenue exit for a separate traffic incident when it was hit by a pickup truck -- possibly at a speed close to 70 mph.

Shaw said it appears the pickup truck hit the median first and then the cruiser.
The trooper suffered a cut to his face and an arm injury. The dispatcher suffered and injury to the back.
The pickup truck driver was not hurt.
