A Mount Clemens teenager is facing several charges after allegedly leading Macomb County Sheriff's deputies on a wild car chase Tuesday night.
When deputies spotted a suspected stolen car near Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, the suspicious car took off with its headlights turned off.
As deputies pursued the vehicle, it hit one deputy's cruiser and sideswiped other cars.
When the car hit a fence pole at Englewood and Madison streets, the driver got out and ran. When deputies caught up with him, he fought them. Deputies used Tasers to subdue him.
Macomb County Sheriff Wickersham said Tasers can be very helpful in making arrests when suspects are resisting.
"Using that tool that we can get the handcuffs on him with nobody getting hurt," Wickersham said.
No deputies were hurt during the chase or the arrest.
Joshua Setty, 17, is charged with receiving and concealing stolen property, fleeing police and malicious destruction of police property. All those crimes are felonies.
Setty is a student at Clintondale High School.
