Hearing adjourned for teens accused in school shooting plot

Police: Teens had "specific targets in mind"

FLINT, Mich. – A court hearing for three teenage boys charged with conspiring to shoot people at a pair of Michigan schools has been adjourned until next week.

The defense attorneys for Ryan Stevens, 18, Lamar Dukes, 15, and Cody Brewer, 15, waived their right to appear at the hearing Thursday. The attorneys said they needed more time for discovery in the case and asked the judge to grant an adjournment - and it was.

Argentine Township Police Chief Dan Allen said police intercepted information Oct. 28 about the alleged plot. He forwarded the information to the FBI.

Allen said that the teens had "specific targets in mind" at Linden High School and Linden Middle School.
