University of Michigan wide receiver charged with criminal sexual conduct, resisting arrest

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A wide receiver for the University of Michigan was arraigned Wednesday on sexual assault charges in connection to an incident that reportedly happened in East Lansing.

Grant Anthony-Williams Perry, 19, is charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, felony resisting and obstructing police, and minor in possession.

According to authorities, Perry sexually assaulted a woman while waiting in line outside of Lou & Harry’s in downtown East Lansing on Oct. 15. Police say he tried to flee when police arrived and he resisted arrest. Police also said he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Grant was released on a personal recognizance bond.
