DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a man caught on video breaking into Vegan Soul restaurant and stealing a metal file safe and small silver tablet.
Police said the man broke into the restaurant in the 8000 block of Agnes Street around 7:15 p.m. Jan. 16.
Video shows the man forcing his way through the front door of the restaurant and going through another door behind the counter. He took a black metal file safe and a small silver tablet and left the restaurant on foot.
There were no injuries in the incident.
Police describe the man as in his 40s, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 220-240 pounds. He was wearing a dark gray knitted cap, a black leather coat, a gray hoodie, dark blue jeans and black shoes.
