Waterford man killed by robbers breaking into his home

WATERFORD, Mich. – A 22-year-old Waterford man was killed Saturday when three people broke into his house at 5:05 a.m. in the 7000 block of Villa Drive.

Police say that the victim's 22-year-old girlfriend, who also lives at the home, told officers that the victim was shot by three people who broke into the home. The robbers left the scene before officer's arrived, but were all caught and taken into custody.

Police say all three suspects are in their 20s and one is suspected to be an acquaintance of the victim.
