The man asked the student if she needed a ride to school and the student replied no. He then continued to drive eastbound on Walton Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a white male with blonde hair, in his mid-20s or 30s.

Lessel said parents should remind their children to never approach a stranger's vehicle or accept a ride or gift from someone they don't know. If approached, she said, students should walk or run away quickly.

She said children and adults should report any suspicious behavior from people in their neighborhood immediately.

Waterford Police are asking for anyone with information about Thursday's incident to please contact them at 248-674-0351.
