Weather won't keep fans from packing Big House for Winter Classic

Metro Detroit area rings in 2014 with snow

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – It's not the ideal weather for the Winter Classic, but that isn't going to keep fans from packing the Big House for the big game.

In Ann Arbor, it looked like folks were having a lot of fun Tuesday night before the big game.

It was quite a party, much like Mardi Gras. That is if you held Mardi Gras in the Arctic circle.

Hundreds lined up to get inside where it's warm, but many were happy to stay outside where it's cold.

About 40,000 people are expected to be visiting from Toronto.

For folks from Ontario, this is great weather, as there were a lot of Leafs fans at one local party.

Michelle Chamuel, runner up on last season's "The Voice," took the stage also Tuesday night. Chamuel went to the University of Michigan and will rock this party until the puck drops.
