Gignac says she received complaints from residents about the volume of the music from Orion music festival held recently on Belle Isle.

West-end councillor Ron Jones said he, too, has received complaints about the electronic music festival.

Mayor Eddie Francis says there is nothing Windsor can do.

"It's a U.S. jurisdiction, in a different city, in a different state, in a different country," Francis said. "Can you imagine if we got a letter here saying we want you to turn down Bluesfest or turn down your events occurring here."

City staff was instructed to look into the issue and bring a report back.
