Woman killed by police in Ann Arbor after confronting them with knife

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A 40-year-old woman from Ann Arbor was killed Sunday when she confronted officers with a knife and was shot by one of the officers.

Police arrived at the woman's home in the 2000 block of Winewood Avenue in Ann Arbor at around 11:45 p.m. after a reported domestic disturbance, according to authorities. Police say the woman was armed with a knife and confronted the officers, so one of the officers shot her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
