Police have 2 suspected attackers in custody

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Ypsilanti police have arrested two men who, police say, broke into a house and attacked two women Thursday morning.

Police say two 21-year-old women were attacked inside their apartment. A 26-year-old man and a 57-year-old man broke into the home in the 1000 block of Washtenaw Avenue just before 7 a.m. They attacked the women with a knife.

One of the women woke up partially naked with a man lying next to her. The woman told police the man held a knife to her throat and she began to fight him until he ran away.

Neighbors said there have been problems at this place before.

The two men believed to be involved in this home invasion are being held in the Washtenaw County Jail.
