Packers QB buys time for TD pass

DETROIT – Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers did what he does, running around the backfield for nearly 9 seconds before delivering a 10-yard TD pass to Geronimo Allison in the fourth quarter. 

The meandering run and throw gave the Packers a 23-14 lead with 10 minutes to play. Packers kicker Mason Crosby missed the extra point.

The TD pass ended an 81-yard drive that saw Rodgers carve up the Lions defense for 68 yards passing and 12 rushing.

Matthew Stafford and the Lions now need a two-score rally to win the NFC North. They got three points back on the ensuing drive with a Matt Prater 54-yard field goal, bringing the score to 23-17 with
