INDIANAPOLIS - Michigan and Michigan State will meet in the Big Ten tournament championship game for the first time on Sunday in Indianapolis.
The Spartans were swept by the Wolverines during the regular season, but have a perfect record in conference title games.
On Saturday, Michigan hung on in the semifinal game to beat Ohio State, 72-69, and Michigan State handled Wisconsin, 83-75.
This is Michigan's first trip to the tournament championship since 1998, the event's inaugural year. However, the Wolverines later vacated the title.
The Spartans haven't appeared in the championship game since 2012 when they beat Ohio State.
