DETROIT – Sunday night will be good for curling up by the fireplace to watch Sunday Night Football or to help the kids with homework. Skies will be mostly cloudy as temperatures dip into the low 30s again.

Monday will have clouds still in place. This will be the most comfortable day of the week for families who need to catch up on any raking or gutter-cleaning. Highs will be near 50.

Veterans Day, Tuesday will be a bring a leading edge of much colder air. Showers are possible as temperatures plunge. For now, snow showers are more likely north of the Saginaw Valley and the rest of Southeast Michigan will have rain showers with temperatures near 50 degrees or a bit more.

Then the bottom falls out. Tuesday night temperatures plunge into the 20s as it becomes blustery. When chills will be in the teens in single digits Wednesday morning. The coldest air of the season will envelop all of Detroit in Southeast Michigan for the rest of the work-week. Highs on Wednesday will be in the middle and upper 30s despite mostly sunny skies. It will be partly sunny Thursday and Friday with arctic air holding its grip on the area. Morning lows will be in the 20s and teens. Afternoon highs will be in the low 30s to 35 degrees.
