DTE Energy: Power restored to 180,000 customers in SE Michigan

DETROIT – DTE Energy says it has restored power to 180,000 customers who were left without power due to high winds Monday.

DTE said Wednesday night it has restored power to all 180,000 customers who lost power Monday, following damaging winds that swept through southeast Michigan.

DTE crews worked 16-hour shifts around the clock to restore power to customers that were impacted. Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour caused more than 2,000 downed power lines across DTE's Southeast Michigan service area.

Approximately 150 linemen from Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin joined the restoration effort Wednesday morning.

You can look at the DTE power outage map here.
