Local 4Casters: Rain, isolated storms Monday

More rain showers and isolated thundershowers on tap

DETROIT – More rain showers and isolated thundershowers will move through SE Michigan this afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low to maybe mid 60s during the day and the winds will be cranking SSW 15-25 mph with a few stronger gusts. Although we will see temps in the 60s today, it will feel cooler especially with showers falling this afternoon. After school sports and even evening outdoor events could be in jeopardy for sure today.

More rain showers develop tomorrow as cooler air spills in and temps fall off a bit. Scattered and lighter Tuesday rain with high temps only in the mid to upper 50s and still windy. Keep the umbrella handy and prepare for a windy few days here to start the work week. Tuesday winds SW 20-30 mph.

Our in-house computer model here shows cooler air spilling in Tuesday night and a few snow showers possible in spots early Wednesday. We don't expect much snow and it could be just light rain. Either way, a few scattered showers are possible Wednesday before we start to see a sun and cloud mix through the afternoon.
