The National Weather Service has issued small flood advisories for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties until 6 p.m.
Runoff from the rainfall can cause minor flooding, especially along small streams and near low water crossings. Some locations that will experience minor flooding include: downtown Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Southfield, St. Clair Shores, Warren and Royal Oak.
Spotty showers are hanging on and will be moving south through this afternoon.
A stationary front near the Ohio border may also keep clouds and drizzle around through the early afternoon, but a north to south clearing means rain will linger in our southern counties a bit longer.
Eventually, some clearing through the mid afternoon. Highs in the low 70s and winds NE 5-10 mph. Overnight, skies will clear out to partly cloudy with lows in the mid 50s.
Thursday we will see partly to mostly sunny skies and very comfortable weather conditions! Highs in the mid 70s with winds NE 5-10 mph. Those winds will be blowing off of the Big Lakes and will enhance cloud cover but we will stay dry.
Friday’s weather is ideal with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. For more on the weekend forecast, click the weather link here on clickondetroit.com or download the Local4Casters app in your app store by searching WDIV and it’s free!
