DETROIT – A Freeze Warning has been issued for Wayne, Oakland, Monroe, Macomb, Washtenaw, Saint Clair, Livingston, Lenawee, Genesee and Sanilac counties which will take effect at 10 p.m. and expires at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Saturday and Sunday mornings will be the coldest times we've seen in about six months. It will be dry this weekend, and temperatures will become higher by Tuesday.

Tailgaters and football fans going to the Michigan State versus Michigan football game at the big house in Ann Arbor will need to dress with extra layers of green and white or maize and blue fleece. Skies will be partly sunny, but temperatures will be in the 40s most of the afternoon. Before the 3:30 PM ET kick off, the wind will make it feel like it's in the 30s and low 40s. Saturday afternoon highs will be in the upper 40s to near 50°.

Saturday night will become Cold again. Frosting freezing conditions will be a concern, so make sure the pets are indoors and bring any potted plants inside. Overnight lows will be near freezing in Detroit. Detroit suburbs will reach the middle and upper 20s again.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and remain chili. Highs will be in the low 50s. Detroit tailgaters want me there Honolulu blue hats jackets gloves and scarves to stay warm outside Ford Field.

Monday and Tuesday will be cold in the morning and not actually in the afternoon. Monday's highs will be in the low 60s. Tuesday's temperatures will be near 70° during the day.
