Temperatures drop again Wednesday

Chilly today, wet tonight, warm tomorrow

DETROIT – Wednesday will start chilly and stay chilly with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

The morning will have temps in coat-wearing territory; in the upper 30s and low 40s. The afternoon will be colder than average with highs barely above 50 degrees. A stiff easterly breeze will blow at 10 to 15 mph.

Showers will arrive from the west late Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night with temps steadily in the middle 40s.

Thursday will have another surge of warm air similar to last Monday.

Highs will be in the 70s with the help of a southwesterly wind. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day, and some may be strong. If they hit the severe category, the Local 4Casters will be right on top of them as winds become stronger, downpours become heavier and hail becomes larger.

The Detroit area is in for another cool down Friday through Sunday with daytime temperatures back in the 40s and 50s, but it will be sunnier.
