ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor has plans to open a pub in Bangalore, India thanks to a local connection.
The micro brewery is owned by Renee and Matt Greff who say two of their favorite things are beer and travel.

"If we could ever find a way to combine beer and travel together that would be our dream job," said Renee.
The two are scheduled to leave for India on December 1st and will oversee the opening for 3 months.
They chose India thanks to a University of Michigan alum who lives in Bangalore.
"India, state by state is starting to legalize brew pubs," said Renee. "And so the state he lived in, it wasn't legal yet, but he knew that that was on the horizon."
The pub will carry all the same micro brews that can be found at the Ann Arbor establishment, but there may be some changes to the names of their beers.
The owners also plan to make the pub feel similar to the one in Ann Arbor. "Since our partner was a regular here he really wanted to capture that same feel. So, much like here, all of the brewing equipment will be viewable behind glass," said Matt.
Right now they don't have plans to open any other location because Renee says "it's exhausting, and I think what we have learned through this whole experience is never say never."
