ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (TheRide) Board of Directors approved Thursday a plan to create a public transit service between the city and Detroit Metro Airport in Romulus.

The AirRide service will be $10 for a one-way trip for a limited time. The regular one-way trip fare will be $12 for an adult with a reservation and $15 without a reservation. There will be discounts for seniors, disabled passengers and children.

The plan is to have three stops in Ann Arbor: One at 4th Avenue and William Street, another at the Kensington Court Hotel near Interstate 94 on the city's south side and a third at the Central Campus Transit Center.

TheRide has plans to make parking available at the bus stops for $2 per trip.
