The rallies have been filling the market for a few years now, but this summer has been the biggest year yet.

The annual event's season lasts from May through October every year and the rallies take place on the first Wednesday of every month.

Organizers expect tonight's event to be the most successful rally ever, with 14 food trucks to choose from, children's activities (including face painting!), and a variety of live music from local musicians/bands.

Ann Arbor's Parks and Recreation Volunteer and Outreach Program, GIVE 365, will have local volunteers running the event. Want to get involved? Contact them here.

Organizers have also partnered with Zero Waste Washtenaw to promote recycling and composting in order to reduce waste.

In recent years, the food truck circuit in the metro Detroit area has been booming. Tonight, several of those trucks, like Drifter Coffee, Delectabowl and The Salt & Sugar Co., will be at the event, in addition to a blend of local vendors, like HumusFalafel and Cosa Sabrosa.
