1 killed, 2 hospitalized in vehicle crash into trees on Ann Arbor road

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – An 18 year old man from Taylor died after a car crashed in several trees on Jackson Avenue Sunday morning.
Police were notified of the crash through an iPhone notification around 4:50 a.m. Once on the scene they saw the vehicle hit the trees when heading west along a curve near Gralake Avenue.

A 19 year old Detroit man was also a passenger in the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital for severe injuries but is listed in stable condition, officials.
The 19 year old driver, a man from Ecorse, recieved minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Police said alcohol is thought to be a factor in the crash and the driver will be taken to Washtenaw County Jail after he is released from the hospital.
