‘Thank you, God, I’m home’: Michigan football lands 2026 4-star edge rusher McHale Blade

The Wolverines beat out USC and Notre Dame for the Chicago native

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Michigan Wolverines have landed 2026 four-star edge rusher McHale Blade.

The 6′4″, 245-pound Chicago native out of Simeon High School committed to Michigan on Monday (June 9).

Blade received his offer from the Wolverines in May of 2024 from Michigan defensive line coach Lou Esposito.

The Chicago native took his official visit to Ann Arbor over the weekend of June 6 before making his decision official.

Blade was reported to have received offers from USC, Notre Dame, Georgia, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Miami, and Florida, among others.

The exciting news for the Michigan faithful has reached the players, as future teammate Bear McWhorter gave a shoutout to head coach Sherrone Moore on X.
