ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Michigan Wolverines have landed 2026 three-star linebacker Markel Dabney.
Dabney became the 16th commitment in the class of 2026 for the football program on Friday (June 27).

The 6′1″, 210-pounder from Richmond, Virginia, was committed to the SMU Mustangs since May 13, but head coach Sherrone Moore and his staff were able to flip Dabney during his official visit to Ann Arbor.
According to reports, the Huguenot High School standout had offers from Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, SMU, and Arizona before ultimately landing with the men in maize.
