Ann Arbor family dog shot, killed during attempted break-in
Suspect still at large
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Police in Ann Arbor are looking for whoever is responsible for killing a dog during an attempted break-in early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, it happened at about 4 a.m., Dec. 8, at a home on Weldon Boulevard, just south of Stadium Boulevard.
Police said the homeowner confronted someone attempting to break into a vehicle when the family dog, Miley, escaped the home.
The suspect reportedly shot and killed Miley before running off.
A nearby home was also hit by gunfire.
Despite an extensive search, the suspect remains at large.
