Michigan begins a stretch featuring three of its next four games on the road, aiming to maintain its undefeated record.

The Wolverines hold a 40-17 all-time record against Penn State, including a 14-11 mark in road games.

After an eight-game winning streak in the series, Michigan has gone 4-5 in the last nine meetings.

The team snapped a three-game losing streak against the Nittany Lions with a 76-72 victory at Crisler Center last season.

Michigan’s last trip to face Penn State was nearly two years ago on Jan. 7, 2024, in a neutral-site game at the historic Palestra in Philadelphia, where the Wolverines lost 79-73.

Their last game at the Bryce Jordan Center was almost three years ago, an 83-61 loss on Jan. 29, 2023.

Currently, Michigan is one of six undefeated teams nationally, joining No. 1 Arizona, No. 3 Iowa State, Miami (Ohio), No. 13 Nebraska, and No. 11 Vanderbilt.

The Wolverines are off to one of the most dominant starts in modern college basketball history, with 10 wins by 20 or more points, including eight by 30-plus, six by 40-plus, one by 50-plus, and three victories over nationally ranked opponents.

Michigan’s three consecutive wins by 30-plus points over ranked opponents mark a first in Associated Press poll history.

Their six victories by 40-plus points this season are the most in Big Ten history.

The Wolverines have scored 100 or more points in six of their last eight games, averaging 100.5 points during that stretch.

Overall, Michigan has seven 100-point games and ranks fourth nationally, averaging 96.7 points per game.

Michigan’s “Big Three” — Yaxel Lendeborg (15.1 points per game), Morez Johnson Jr. (14.8), and Aday Mara (10.5) — account for 40% of the team’s offensive production.

Johnson has posted back-to-back 20-point games, including a career-high 29 points on 10-for-12 shooting against No. 24 USC.

He leads the team with four 20-point performances this season.

Mara, who averages 2.46 blocks per game, has recorded at least one block in every contest and has 10 multi-block games, including two career-best-tying five-block outings.

Elliot Cadeau remains the only Wolverine to hit at least one three-pointer in every game this season.

His 23 triples already exceed more than half of his two-year total at North Carolina (39).

Cadeau also leads Michigan with 5.7 assists per game.

Trey McKenney, averaging 10.8 points per game, has scored in double figures in seven of his last eight contests.
