Ford Ranger coming back to North America in 2019

DETROIT – The Ford Ranger will finally return to North America. 

Ford announced Monday at the auto show in Detroit the Ranger midsize pickup will return to North America in 2019. It will be built at the Michigan Assembly Plant. 

Ford said the pickup, which is the best selling in its class in both Europe and South America, will have a unique front styling, engines and features.

The Ranger has not been available in North America since 2012. It was the best-selling compact truck in the United States from 1987 to 2004.
