Olympic swimmer teaches South Lyon kids

SOUTH LYON, Mich. – Young swimmers had the opportunity Sunday afternoon to learn from one of the best.

Olympic swimmer Allison Schmitt taught and talked individually with some aspiring Olympians in the South Lyon Aquatics swim group.

"Just meeting her makes me want to keep progressing and just to keep training like her," said Grace Olsen, a South Lyon Aquatics swimmer.

Schmitt holds six Olympic medals and said after her Olympic career she wants to pursue a career working with children.

"It's cool to come back and see the kids so excited," said Schmitt.

Currently, Schmitt is training for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
