Walgreens recalls chocolate-covered raisins

Company says chocolate raisins may contain nuts without warning

DETROIT – Walgreen Co. is recalling 13-ounce packages of its chocolate-covered raisins because the packages may contain peanut, almond and soy ingredients.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, the packages do not indicate any nut or soy-based ingredients. Thus, the raisins could be dangerous to consumers with allergies.

The FDA said Walgreens mistakenly packaged the raisins with a nut mix.

Stores have been instructed to stop selling the snack.
