It was used on GT, Giant and Trek bikes. There have been 12 incidents with the suspension forks. Two involved injuries, such as a laceration and a chipped tooth.
If your bike is affected you should stop riding it, and go to your dealer for free repairs.
The affected bikes were sold at specialty bicycle stores nationwide from April 2011 through March 2012 for between $400 and $600. You should be able to see the words SR Suntour posted on the fork's crown, with date codes CK110301 through CK110731.
The recall involved 17,000 bikes.
