DETROIT – Additional injuries have prompted the reannouncement of a recall by Fiskars of about 288,000 lopper shears in the United States and Canada.
The recall involves Fiskars' 32-inch titanium bypass lopper shears with model number 6954. The handles can break when used to cut branches, causing a risk of serious injury.
Fiskars has received 33 reports of this incident, 10 of which happened after an October 2014 recall.
The lopper shears were sold at Home Depot stores and at HomeDepot.com from May through June 2014.
Customers should stop using the shears and call Fiskars for a replacement at 855-544-0151.
About 277,000 of the lopper shears being recalled were sold in the U.S. and about 11,000 were sold in Canada.
