Rolling Stone ranks all 141 SNL cast members

Rolling Stone admits it's an "insanely ambitious" and "absurdly exhaustive" endeavor, but they've done it regardless: all 141 Saturday Night Live cast members ranked from top to bottom.

Lorne Michaels' show has been running live for 40 years now. Some of the cast members have been comedic geniuses, some haven't.

For example: The ranking starts with Robert Downey Jr. How did he fair on SNL? Not so amazingly. But still, he's Robert Downey Jr. And that, which Rolling Stone explains, is the beauty of the show's cast. You just never know who will get the laughs on Saturday night.
